He may be thinning a little on top and be the wrong side of middle-age, but David Essex looks ready for love in his EastEnders role.
The singer, who arrived on the BBC soap this month, is set to strike up a relationship with Carol Jackson, played by Lindsey Coulson.
His appearance on the show is long overdue, with Essex initially invited on the Walford drama five years ago.
