They've been feeling the pressure in recent weeks, with Joey Essex looking like he was on the verge of either proposing or dumping Sam Faiers during the disastrous live TOWIE episode.
So after filming wrapped on the latest series of the ITV2 reality show, the couple escaped to New York City for a romantic pre-Christmas break together.
With none of their meddling TOWIE co-stars or family around, Sam, 22, and Joey, 23, were free to enjoy each other's company and see the sights of the Big Apple.
During their mini-break, they shopped, ate and checked out some of the city's attractions, including Central Park.
Despite the freezing temperatures, the couple sat still long enough to have their caricatures drawn by a street artist.
Fans of the show know Joey is in touch with his feminine side so it was no surprise to see he joined his girlfriend in the beauty salon and also got a pedicure.
