Scarlett Johansson shares a tender morning kiss with her new man as they leave their New York hotel for breakfast on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old actress is seen here wrapping her arms around French journalist Romain Dauric, before leaning in for a smooch.

After weeks of keeping things low-key, it seems Scarlett is now feeling ready to go public with her new 30-year-old lover.

There was certainly nothing coy about their display yesterday as they put on an affectionate show the morning after dining out together in the Big Apple.

Like a scene from a movie, Scarlett and Romain stopped in the middle of the street and flung themselves at each other, apparently overcome with a flutter of butterflies.

Last month MailOnline revealed the pair were dating, just weeks after Scarlett's split from from advertising executive Nate Naylor.

The couple are believed to have met through mutual friends and have been spotted together at clubs and bars in Paris and New York over recent months.

Last month, Romain waited in the wings as Scarlett took to the red carpet in New York for the premiere of her Hitchcock movie, before whisking her off to dinner.

For their outing on Wednesday, both opted for casual attire and matching style puffer jackets.

Scarlett completed her day-time attire with jogging bottoms and scarped her hair back into bun, hiding her make-up free face under a pair of shades.

Romain is the former editor of French magazine Clark which specialised in underground French urban art, and is the current manager of a creative agency.

The couple are both friends of French tattoo artist Fuzi, who earlier this month tattooed Scarlett with a horse shoe and the message 'Lucky You', on her rib cage, which she proudly showed off.

While Romain is believed to have plumped for a tattoo which reads Lost Illusions.

Scarlett split from Ryan Reynolds in December 2010 after a two-year marriage. He is now married to Blake Lively.
