Natasha Kaplinsky was radiance personified yesterday as she posed with her new daughter for the first time.

Angelica Pearl Bower was born four days ago, weighing 7lb.

The 37-year-old Channel 5 newsreader dazzled in diamond stud earrings and a splash of pink lipstick as she posed outside her West London home, with her investment banker husband Justin Bower close by.

Miss Kaplinsky has described feeling 'stunned and excited' about becoming a mother for the second time.

Her son Arlo was born 18 months ago. She is expected to return to work in September.

However, becoming a mother is likely to cost her more than £60,000 as she will not receive a penny in maternity pay because she was hired as a freelance.

Had she been on a staff contract, her first six weeks of maternity leave would have earned Miss Kaplinsky 90 per cent of her estimated £11,500-a-week salary.

Natasha Kaplinsky was yesterday celebrating after giving birth to a daughter.

The 37-year-old Channel 5 newsreader was said to be 'over the moon' following the safe arrival of her second child at a London hospital.

The baby has not yet been named.

A source told the Mail: 'Natasha and the new addition are both well and Natasha is looking forward to taking her little girl home.'

Natasha, who is married to investment banker Justin Bower, has described feeling 'stunned and excited' about becoming a mother for the second time.

Natasha caused a storm when she revealed she was expecting son Arlo, now 18 months old, just six weeks into her £1million job in the April of that year.

When she returned to work in February last year, after five months maternity leave, she took a £300,000 pay cut to present just one news show a day so she could spend more time with her son.

Just eight months later she told bosses she was pregnant again.

Natasha stayed fit and healthy throughout her pregnancy and accompanied Denise Van Outen last month on a one-mile walk for Sports Relief.
